Official Rules
by
Putchuco
The NSC is a friendly competition of cars
created at the same time in the season. The aim is to compare the
managing skills of the players.
1 - PLAYERS
This challenge is open to any active participants of the YRM forum. If
you want to participate, you need to post at least once in the NSC
forum introducing yourself.
NSC has no link with Heow, Neopoly, the CIA or the mafia. To join the
challenge, just apply to the group with a car that fits with the part 2
of the rules. Players are allowed to compete with one car only.
In case the NSC3 attracts more than 50 players, additonal groups will
be created and managed simultaneously with one combined standings.
2 - CAR
Cars can only be created during the first race of season 8.
A "reference car" will be created by the race director as soon as
possible on that day, and only cars with IDs higher than the refrence
car will be accepted.
As it is possible to create a yahoo account without activating a car,
the organizer proposes to those who would be involved in other sleeping
activities to activate the account in YRM for them at the start of the
challenge. People interested in this option can send a trustee (e.g.
the Race Director an e-mail with their login/password. (I would just
activate the car, i would not choose the pilot)
As the NSC is a place to compare our racing and management skills on
'even ground' (same rules, money & turns for all) we would prefer
to have all participating cars created BEFORE the first race ends.
If you think you can't join in time, ask the Race Director to create
your car, otherwise you will be disadvantaged and we WILL kick you
around on the track...
3 - FLAGS
The flag of the group is choosen by the winner of the previous season.
Players are free to choose the nationality of their car.
4 - DRIVERS
Players are free to choose their driver type. No excuse like "OK, I
have fewer points, but thats because I choose the wrong type of pilot"
may be voiced or listened to during the challenge.
Cars/Drivers have to follow a few minor naming conventions:
- please no inappropriate names
- <your chosen name> NSC4, e.g. 'Putchuco NSC4'
(This makes it a lot easier sorting by the names, believe me)
5 - TRUTHFUL INFORMATION
Players are encouraged to provide the following information during the
challenge:
- qual time
- qual position
- race time
- race position
Standings will be collected by adding one's information to the last
post,
consisting of: <car> <time>, e.g.
01:22,012 Tico Power NSC4
01:23,123 Gecal NSC4
01:24,567 Gavin NSC4
01:26,789 abcdef NSC4
<<Please, try using the format as shown above, any 01:23.456 or
01:23:456 throws another wrench into creating statistics.>>
Any information given on these items has to be true.
Players are free to post anything on any other subject, like drivers
type and characteristics, pilot settings, car setup...
6 - DEMOCRACY
Rules can be changed during the season if 75% of players (including the
leader of the challenge) OR 90% of the players without the leader of
the challenge want it. Change of rules for the next challenge are taken
by a simple majority. In case of "draw" in a vote, the race director
takes the decision. The race director is elected.
Note : the race director owns the "presidential" car of the challenge
but does not compete with it. He competes with another car.
7 - END OF SEASON
The challenge will end with the season 9 - cars HAVE TO STAY in the
challenge group until the END OF THE LAST RACE DAY. Those who leave too
early will not be considered for the final classification that will
follow the YRM final ranking.
