Renault one-two in
Malaysia
Giancarlo Fisichella has topped off a superb weekend in the ultimate
style, taking his third ever pole position to his third ever Grand Prix
victory and making Renault history; giving the team its second ever
one-two podium finish since Rene Arnoux and Alain Prost in the 1982
French Grand Prix.

Alonso joins
McLaren in 2007
In a shock announcement, McLaren have confirmed that 2005 Formula One
world champion Fernando Alonso will join the team from 2007. The team,
however, did not mention who the Spaniard's team-mate would be,
increasing speculation that Kimi Raikkonen might join Ferrari in the
same season.

Residents put
Monza at risk
Formula One cars will have to be
fitted with silencers if there are to be any more races at Italy's
Monza circuit, an Italian court has ordered. Judge Marco Manunta upheld
a complaint by residents from Biassono, a small town near the famous
Monza track, who said noise had made life miserable.

Kimi wins Suzuka
thriller
McLaren's Kimi Raikkonen charged from 17th place on the starting grid
to seize a thrilling victory at the Japanese GP on Sunday. The Finn
overtook leader Giancarlo Fisichella on the final lap as Spain's
Fernando Alonso took third to give Renault a two-point lead in the
constructor's championship.

Trulli: 'Sato is
dangerous'
Jarno Trulli has called for BAR Honda's Takuma Sato to be severely
reprimanded after ramming the Italian's Toyota into retirement in
Sunday's Japanese GP. Sato, desperate to do well at his home Grand
Prix, was eager to make up places after losing a handful of places
after running wide at turn one.

Spain sings
Alonso's praises
Spain hailed a new hero on Monday after Fernando Alonso became the
country's first F1 champion, and the world's youngest at just 24 years
old. "Champion," blared the front pages of the normally soccer-obsessed
sports dailies, while El Pais led with "Alonso, the youngest king of
Formula One".

Kimi win keeps
title on ice
McLaren's Kimi Raikkonen has
forced title leader Fernando Alonso to wait another two weeks before
celebrating the title by taking victory in an intriguing Belgian GP on
Sunday. The Finn won comfortably ahead of the Spaniard with Jenson
Button third while Juan Montoya was punted out of second late on.

of own destiny
Fernando Alonso must wait two more weeks to become Formula One's
youngest champion. Even if McLaren's Kimi Raikkonen wins the next round
in Brazil, the end is drawing near after the final European grand prix
of the season in Belgium on Sunday.

Kimi takes Turkish
crown
Kimi Raikkonen capitalised on
his pole position in Istanbul to win the first ever Turkish Grand Prix,
ahead of title rival Fernando Alonso and Juan Pablo Montoya. The
Colombian made an error on the last lap to allow the championship
leader through to take 2nd place, an error that may prove crucial.

Barrichello to
leave Ferrari
Rubens Barrichello will leave
Italian team Ferrari at the end of the 2005 season, it was announced on
Tuesday. At the Hungarian Grand Prix last weekend, former three-times
world champion Nelson Piquet told the Brazilian press Barrichello had
already agreed a deal with BAR.
